Workshop Advanced BGP/4
The Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is the IP standard for the Exterior Gateway Routing Protocols (EGP) and is used for connecting different autonomous systems (AS). BGP is used in the global Internet for the connection to the Internet and for connecting different subnetworks of an enterprise.
The workshop Advanced BGP/4 gives you a practical overview of the additional protocol mechanisms of BGP/4, practice-oriented design approaches and the practical implementation in large networks.
Contents:
- BGP Basics Refresher
- BGP Attributes
- BGP Filter and Policies
- BGP Scaling Issues
- BGP Homing Scenarios und Case Studies
- BGP Advanced Communities
Length of the workshop and required knowledge:
The workshop has been designed for a length of 2 days with a focus to practical excercises. It is also possible to be tailored to your individual needs, of course.
Participants should have sound knowledge in in IGP routing (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP) as well as basic knowledge in BGP/4.
